Crucifix 2.0

  • Separate silks, footlock on one foot
  • Hip balance towards locked foot, grabbing high on free pole with opposite hand (of locked foot), crocheting same hand (of locked foot) on the tail of the free pol
  • Crocheted hand to hip, roll towards free knee one or more full rotations, pose (many options)
  • Roll back, on last roll back, create space with crocheted hand, lift free leg, toes first, into the space
  • Keep rolling “out” following “point” of newly inserted leg, rotating top shoulder to allow movement, while pulling the “belt” lower down on hips
  • Lay back and bring free leg around pole, hooking knee
  • Pull up on pole, rotating body into front stag position (splits pose optional)
  • Move hands to back pole, pull up and rotate body so that front pole becomes back pole and back pole becomes front pole
  • Take off footlock, pose (many options)
  • Bring free leg in front of tail, slide hands down and rotate body into inverted straddle, regrasp grip to have one hand on each pole
  • Sit up, swooping what used to be the “free leg” (not the locked foot), catch silk in thigh and reinvert
  • Many exit opportunities here (video shows Slack Angel exit)
