- Separate silks, straddle invert
- Bend one knee, place the tail of the same side over shoulder
- Repeat on other knee/side
- Sit up with tails over shoulders, cross legs to keep from slipping
- Bring tails around poles to front, grip with thumbs facing each other, tail coming out thumb-side
- Rotate hands/shoulders (as if swimming butterfly), release legs and lean back slightly to allow downward motion
- Prep “break” foot into flex and slightly rotated out, to catch pole as you fall backwards, allowing free foot to come through poles into a pike.
- Reset grip, uncrochet legs
