Equal Footlocks

Method 1
  • Split silks, hold in strong point, and create a single footlock on one silk
  • Put weight into footlock, with silk high in thigh area, reach same-side arm/shoulder through middle of poles, you should be able to comfortably balance here
  • Using both hands on free pole, make second single footlock
  • NOTE: Reaching for silk at knee, pulling up to about hip height, and then creating footlock will create a second equal footlock (fine tune it for your body)
  • To exit: Sink hips down, use top/side of one foot to take off opposite-foot footlock, repeat on other side
Method 2
  • Once in a footlock on one silk, wrap free leg with the beginning of a footlock (egg beater 1 time), bring ankles together, both legs straight
  • Push pole out to the side until arm is fully extended (fine tune this extension for your body), bring pole back, while lifting foot up and stepping into the loop created
Method 3
  • Once in a footlock on one silk, sit bottom back and down so that arms are straight and body is in piked position
  • Egg Beater the free leg, using locked foot to manipulate silk into foot lock, rotating ankle of second foot to help create the lock, pull to stand up
