J Drop

  • Single footlock (typically with silks together but can be done with silks separated)
  • Grab free silk (if silks are split) to help rotate body in direction of the big toe that is in footlock, rotate until locked silk is behind back
  • Hold both poles, pull up and hook free foot high on pole of locked foot
  • Bend knee of locked foot, slide hands down poles, allow body to rotate to upside-down position, let go of free silk
  • Reach opposite hand of foot high in silk behind back and grab pole with outstretched arm, hand will be above your bottom, thumbs towards the ceiling
  • Let top foot release silk, drop
  • Pull poles to stand, release footlock
