- Climb, single footlock with silks together
- Flamenco opposite-side hand (of the foot that is locked) high on poles
- Dive same-side hand through triangle created by the pole, opposite hand, and body
- Guide shoulders and upper body through so that pole is placed along the back
- Place same-side hand on lower pole between hip and locked foot while placing upper pole under opposite-side armpit
- Arch body and press into the silk with your back, while also pushing with the bottom hand (locked foot might tilt towards the front, this will help with balance)

- Bring bottom hand up to match the opposite-hand on the upper pole
- Sink bottom down into pike while bringing free leg over the pole
- Let go with sameside-hand, pose
- Match hands high on pole and bring knee back over the pole (reverse direction)
- Begin turning body so that pole is at your back, regripping as needed, remove footlock
