Double Knee Drop

  • Climb at least 1.5 body lengths
  • Split poles, straddle up, and crochet legs
  • Cross tails behind back and bring tails forward to keep them in the arm pits
  • Bend knees, big sit-up, bringing tails with you
  • Reach hands across to grab opposite poles and pull into ‘X’ in front of you, pull over
  • You may remain in a piked fold, or you may raise your chest up and pose, you can let go if stable
  • Bend both knees (keep this bend as it is what will catch you when you drop) and hold tight to both poles with arms bent
  • Push pelvis forward while driving heels towards your bottom and drop
  • To exit, straddle legs and bring hands with tails up to match the poles, hold both
  • Create a foot break on the tails, release one tail and re-grab the pole, repeat on the other side (important to only do one at a time as you may experience a slack drop)
  • Shake silks off legs
