Butterfly Flick Flack

  • Split silks, straddle invert, crochet legs, place tails in armpits, sit up with tails
  • Crochet both arms 3 times (reaching out from body, backward, and then between body and tail (this is one crochet)
  • No need to hold tails if you don’t want to (but you can), fall backwards in pike position, with arms strong and out to the sides in cross position
  • At bottom of fall, straddle legs and re-invert body, keeping arms straight out to the side
  • Remove all arm crochets except for the last one, crochet legs at least 2 times, grab poles and straddle invert
  • Shake silks off shoulders (VERY IMPORTANT, for if you do not do this, you will trap your arms and you could cause injury)
  • As you release the poles, bring arms out fast, so they don’t get caught by the silks (VERY IMPORTANT to get those arms out or they will get trapped and possibly injured)
  • To exit: Grab poles and lever body to upright position, grab high and shake silks off legs
