- Either start from the ground and lever into a back straddle as seen in the knot inversion video
- OR pull over onto the knot, swivel, pull up into seated position, and then lower yourself so that knot is at your lower back right above your bottom
- From a straddle back, bring one leg up to the pole, past it on the outside, then in between the two poles and continuing around until foot is hooked (this is crochet)
- Bend the free leg, pose
- Grab the free foot with either hand or straighten the free leg and place arms out (in any case, pose!)
- Un-crochet leg, grab poles high, pull up and sit back up (or pull upright until feet are on the ground)
