- Separate silks and eggbeater legs 2 times
- Bring upper body through poles, pike, grab tails from the outside of the foot
- Bend one leg, and keep one leg straight, making sure the leg to keep straight is the one that will be in front for the “split” pose, keeping a loose grip on the tails to allow enough to pull through to remain comfortable in the position, pose
- Let go of the tail of the bent knee and place newly freed hand high on the pole of the straight leg
- Keeping a little bit of tension on the tails, bring straight leg through the middle of the poles, bend knee to match bend of back leg, switch hands on the pole, spin if desired, pose
- Pull up on pole, put weight into front leg while straightening it, keeping back leg in stag position, pose
- Making sure tails are around draped over waist (take off shoulder if you brought them with you on your shoulder), grab tails from below body (silk is now around your back), and join tails with pole
- Shift weight out of back leg, un-crochet that leg, push on newly freed silk, stag free leg, lean into position, pose
- Stand, unwrap, grab both poles, shake silks off
