Kite

  • Equal footlocks, face towards one side, squat low
  • Reach hand, same-side hand as the front foot in squat, back and around the back pole, and grab the pole of the front foot (your hand will bring that pole to the back side, this is ok and allows your hand to keep a tight grip
  • With the free hand, grab the tails (spin if desired)
  • Straighten legs into splits, you will be completely sideways (as if you are doing the splits on the wall), allow bottom hand to loosen grip on the tails so that as you split, you have the same amount of “triangle” tails on the bottom as you do have “triangle” poles on the top (to better position you directly in the middle and completely sideways)
  • To exit, drop tails, bring legs back into squat, grab poles, stand, readjust poles to correct sides/hands as needed, remove footlocks
