- Separate silks and footlock on one silk
- Passé free leg and hip balance, bringing free silk to other side
- Hold free silk with same-side hand (the hand that matches the locked foot), release the pole with the other hand and bring that hand and shoulder in front of the pole.
- Keeping same-side hand holding the free silk, bring the passé leg around the tail of the free silk, bending the knee, and catching the tail against the calf. Using the bent leg to guide the tail into reach of the free hand (some have found it helpful, at this point, to push the pole outwards to the side to create slack)
- With the free hand, grab the tail that the knee is guiding and wrap the possé leg twice, once over the knee and once below the knee
- Grab pole above wrapped leg with both hands, about head height
- Lean and lower back, straighten arms, and swivel open (rotate belly away from the foot-locked foot), keeping the wrapped knee bent, and releasing the same-side hand as the bent knee
- Re-grab pole with both hands, swivel back to face the silks with your belly, bring the ankle of the wrapped knee to match the ankle of the footlock
- Flamenco grip the same-side hand as the footlock, bring opposite arm through the area between the pole and your upper body, pull head and opposite shoulder through, resting opposite-side shoulder/neck (of the footlock) into coffin pose
- Flamenco same-side hand as locked foot, roll away from locked foot, release bottom hand, and mermaid pose
- Return back to facing silks, crochet hand that is holding onto the pole, crochet free hand down the silk that is at the hip opposite the locked foot
- Unwrap leg, step through the loop that appears, stag front leg and pose
- Back out of stag pose, bringing body and leg back through the loop, use the bottom hand to toss the tail over the lap, grab the pole and use both hands to pull body to pole
- Uncrochet top hand, toss the slack behind your back to the other side. Switch hands on the front pole
- With newly freed hand, reach through the loop you just tossed to the side, and grab that pole’s tail, bring it back through, and place the NEW loop over head and shoulders, settle into belay
- Grab poles below the belay (your new break), undo footlock, and pose
- Foot break on the tails, remove belay loop from body, pull the tail with the slack to remove belay from the silks, re-grab poles, climb down
