Back Balance With Ankle Cuff

  • Separate silks, bring one leg through the middle of the silks, circle to the outside of the same-side pole, and through the middle again
  • Then circle same leg to the outside of the other pole and finish in forward position
  • Create footlock using the pole closest to the free leg, stand up
  • Swing pole that wasn’t used for the footlock behind the back to the other side, point free leg towards the ground, and lower until newly positioned pole is over the butt and laying across the lower back
  • Invert and crochet free leg onto the now “same-side” pole, place both hands on pole of the footlock, rotate belly towards pole of the footlock, take bottom hand off, and remove footlock, keeping hold of the tails as a break
  • Un-crochet non locked leg, find balance, pose
  • To exit, place tails over shoulder, grab both poles, re-crochet free leg
  • Place both hands onto pole of the ankle-cuff side, release same-side hand to release tail if trapped, pull up to sitting position, place one hand on each pole, drop ankle wrap, key over, remove stomach wrap, grab both poles and shake off silks
