Warrior Dive Sequence

  • Begin sequence by completing Thunderstruck
  • At the end of Thunderstruck, keep foot in footlock, stand up
  • Release hand from same-side pole as the footlock, reach across body to match other hand on opposite pole, release original hand from the opposite pole, twist to reach same-side pole as the footlock (similar to arabesque position on the single silk)
  • Invert free leg up and hook free foot onto pole and guide free silk to behind the back
  • Grab pole (that is behind the back) high with top hand, crochet bottom arm on tail (that is behind the back)
  • Begin to bend the knee of the leg in the footlock, at the same time rotate body so that chest is facing the floor, at the same time slide hands to allow body to sink into warrior pose
  • Bring the tails around body and match with top hand on the pole, slide top foot off pole towards the inside of the silks, guide body to follow through the middle of the silks, once through, straighten elbows to allow body to become parallel with the ground, bring ankles together, and straighten legs, pose
  • Bring free leg down towards ground and under the tail that’s between the legs, bend knee of locked-foot leg, cross free leg over the locked knee in squat
  • Drop the tail (of the silk going around the body) over the belly, guide the slack pole from around the back (take it out of the armpit and swing it behind the body) to the side
  • The slacked-pole creates a shape, stretch hand through the shape, grab the free tail and bring it back as a loop, place loop over head and body, bring other side of body/arm through the loop, sink body into belay
  • To exit, wrap tails in foot break, slip out of the belay loop, pull on the poles and tail to even silks out, regrab, release foot break
