- Split silks, straddle invert, crochet one leg and wrap other leg once, outside to inside (catcher’s wrap on a single silk)
- Sit up and grab high on free silk with same-side hand, crochet bottom arm on tail of the same silk below
- Bring free leg over the crocheted leg, turn, pose
- Return to matching ankles together and belly facing ceiling
- Un-crochet bottom arm, bring tails to side of body that matches the crocheted leg, do a small pull-up bring free leg up and through the middle of the poles, match ankles and allow legs to fall towards the floor, at the same time, do a small pull-up, rotating body to upright position (belly facing the floor)
- Key up and into the pole (on the leg that used to be the free leg*), pose
- Back out of the hipkey, back to neutral and then key up on the other side, repeat as many times as you want
- To exit from a key’d over position, grab free silk and sink bottom down, pike feet up and remove the wrapped leg up and out of the silk, shake silks off
- Technically, you can key to either side first, but this suggested direction has been found to be an easier first move, then using momentum to do the other side
