- Place one hand high and one hand around head height on the silks, with tails between legs, invert with bent knees, bring both knees to side of the high hand, lift up and over the pole, lower legs to ground while guiding hip hitch up the leg with bottom hand
- Side crunch hard, hold tails in same-side hand as hip hitch, top hand can hold or release, balance and pose
- Maintaining side crunch, begin to roll towards hitched leg, lift up tails, reach under tails with top hand and grab poles, at the same time, place tails onto opposite shoulder (keep hand on tails on belly)
- Bend knee of same-side leg of the top hand holding the poles, bring it in front of the poles and hook the ankle, meanwhile, bottom leg points towards floor, and the hand on the belly guides silks to fit around above hips, release tails, pose in double stag (thus Deer Drop)
- To exit, match hands high on poles, move silks from one side of the bottom to the other, pushing top leg towards floor, drop tails, you are now in a thigh hitch, remove tails from around body, hold poles and shake silks off
