Dasi Arch

  • Climb up high, silks together, create footbreak
  • Place one hand high on poles, above head, and one hand low on the poles, below waist
  • Release footbreak, hang weight from top hand, use lower hand to bring silks out and around body all the way to the back, lift same-side leg as the top hand to create a shelf, place tails over thigh-shelf, drag silk across top of thigh as you pull it back around to the front again
  • Bend the knee of the “shelf” leg up to the ceiling and then through the loop you just created that is now in front, bring entire leg through, re-grab both hands on pole above head
  • Dive forward and sweep tails to the side of the original “shelf” leg
  • OPTION 1: stop momentum when body is parallel to the ground, sweep tails over top of the pole to complete a U-Lock, wheeldown, exit
  • OPTION 2: continue momentum, swing legs under tails, straddle up, hook same-side knee (it will be the other leg, not the shelf leg), bring tails over belly to complete a double U-Lock, complete a hands-free wheeldown,
  • Exit: unwrap tails from belly one time, unhook knee, swing both legs under tails as you unwrap it from the pole more, rehook knee, upwrap belly one more time, reach under hooked knee, unhook knee, both hands on pole, lower legs to floor, shake silks off
