- Begin with Equal Footlocks
- Grab poles above head height, lean upper body forward, switch poles in hands to create “X” above head
- Pull poles apart, bring head and shoulders through middle of poles, above the “X” of the poles
- Regrab poles so that silks are under the armpits, straddle wide into Basic Crossback
- PULLOVER OPTION: Straddle invert (pull slightly on poles while raising legs, switch to pushing once legs are about parallel to the ground, bring crotch to poles, balance in slight pike), pose, lower invert back to crossback position
- To Exit: Hold strong on the pole that is connected to the silk that is closest to the body (closest line of the “X” on the back) release the other hand, as poles pop off back, re-grab poles normally, one on each side, remove footlocks
